"B.P. Hasdeu" National College of Buzau is represented to national Olympiads by 86 students, along with three robotics teams, two of which have qualified for the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston, USA, and the Western Edge Premier Event International Competition in California, USA.
According to the educational institution, students trained by teaching staff have qualified for national Olympiads in Linguistics, Biology, Philosophy, Logic, History, foreign languages, Chemistry, Religious Studies and Physics.
"The students of 'B.P. Hasdeu' National College have confirmed again this school year that they can represent the school and Buzau in national competitions. Intelligence, outstanding preparation alongside their guiding teachers, and understanding the idea of performance and excellence as an unquestionable value of Hasdeu are all demonstrated year after year. At the national Olympiads we are represented by 86 students, trained by 43 teachers. To these are added the three robotics teams, one of which has qualified for the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston, Texas, USA, and one for the Western Edge Premier Event International Competition in Long Beach, California, USA," representatives of the educational institution said.
Several students achieved notable results at the Informatics, Mathematics and German language Olympiads.
"The first results have already appeared: at the National Informatics Olympiad for high school, student Dimov Matei Petru, 10th grade B, won a bronze medal. At the National Mathematics Olympiad, students Pascu Andrei, 8th grade, and Pana Andrei, 12th grade D, received a mention and a silver medal respectively, while students Mirea Costin-Alexandru, 9th grade A, Tanase Adriana-Maria, 10th grade D, Oancea Vlad-Alexandru, 11th grade B, and Edu Andrei-Petru, 12th grade D, won bronze medals," the cited source mentions.
At the same time, at the National Olympiad in modern German, student Ursachi Diana Raluca obtained third prize - B1 level and a mention, while student Miron Rares Florin obtained second prize.
