The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.8pct in June 2025, the same as the previous month, with the unemployment rate among men being 0.3 percentage points higher than among women, according to a press release sent to AGERPRES by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Thursday.
The estimated number of unemployed people (aged 15-74) for June 2025 was 469,800, down from 470,500 in the previous month, but up compared to the same period last year (434,100).
By gender, the unemployment rate was 5.9pct for men and 5.6pct for women.
For adults (aged 25-74), the unemployment rate was estimated at 4.6pct for June 2025 (4.8pct for men and 4.3pct for women). The number of unemployed persons aged 25-74 represents 74.1pct of the total number of unemployed persons estimated for June 2025.
