President of the Romanian Academy pays scientific visit to the Academy of Sciences of Moldova

The President of the Romanian Academy, Academician Marius Andruh, will pay a scientific visit to the Academy of Sciences of Moldova on Thursday.

He will take part in the round table 'Science Unites: Dialogue for the Future in a Changing World', as well as in two lectures delivered by representatives of the International Science Council (ISC): 'Repositioning Science in an Uncertain and Fragmented World', presented by Sir Peter Gluckman, President of the ISC, and 'International Science Council: Science in Action in an Evolving and Uncertain Context', delivered by Salvatore Arico, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of the ISC, informs the Romanian Academy.

Academician Marius Andruh will also attend the meeting of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.

The visit is part of the cooperation programme between the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the Romanian Academy and the International Science Council, and Thursday's meetings reflect joint efforts to promote the role of science in contemporary society and to strengthen international scientific dialogue, the same source states.
