Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan paid his final homage on Thursday to great coach Mircea Lucescu.
The head of the Executive went to the catafalque at the National Arena and observed a moment of silence.
Ilie Bolojan offered his condolences to the coach's son, Razvan Lucescu, and to Mircea Lucescu's grandson, both present at the National Arena.
'I am here as a mark of respect for the work and lifelong career of a man with a distinguished career. May God rest Mircea Lucescu in peace,' the prime minister said upon leaving.
On Wednesday, the coffin bearing the body of coach Mircea Lucescu was laid in state at the National Arena so that all those who wished could pay their final respects.
