New orders in manufacturing industry increased in nominal terms overall in 2025 compared to 2024 by 4.3%, driven by rises in the consumer goods industry (+6.7%), durable goods industry (+5.4%), capital goods industry (+4.4%) and intermediate goods industry (+3.4%), according to data published on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

New orders in manufacturing decreased in nominal terms in December 2025 compared to the previous month, overall by 1.8%, due to declines recorded in the durable goods industry (-16.3%), consumer goods industry (-9.0%) and intermediate goods industry (-5.3%). The capital goods industry increased by 1.8%, agerpres reports.
