Bucharest to host a summit on the circular economy and sustainability on Thursday

The National Strategy for Sustainable Development 2030, the circular economy, and the role of technology and digitalisation in implementing sustainability policies are among the topics to be discussed at the 'Competitive Sustainability Summit - Strategy. Resilience. Growth. Community', taking place in Bucharest on Thursday.

According to the organisers, those who have confirmed their attendance at the debates include, among others: Diana Buzoianu - Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests; Laszlo Borbely - State Counsellor and Coordinator of the Department for Sustainable Development within the Government of Romania; Cristian Nacu - Senior Country Officer for Romania at the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group); Alina Petrescu - Director of Communication and Sustainability at OMV Petrom; and Raul Pop - Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests.

Items on the agenda include topics such as: sustainability - competitive advantage or regulatory pressure; companies' sustainability strategies; the energy transition in Romania; the circular economy; and the role of technology and digitalisation in implementing sustainability policies.
