Three Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft of the Spanish Air Force arrived in Romania at the 57th Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, where, for about three weeks, they will conduct, together with Romanian and German soldiers, missions under NATO command.

"Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft of the Spanish Air Force have arrived in Romania! Three combat aircraft, along with a detachment of about 60 Spanish soldiers (pilots and technical personnel), landed at the 57th Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base. For about three weeks, our partners will team up with the soldiers of the Romanian Air Force and the German Air Force," Romania's Ministry of National Defense wrote on Thursday in a social media post.

The aircraft will perform enhanced Vigilance Activity missions under NATO command.

"These joint actions play an essential role in our security: they defend and ensure the integrity of Romania's airspace; develops the ability to respond and deterrence; strengthen interoperability between all participating allied forces," according to MApN .
