The Romanian-French pair Victor Cornea/Matteo Martineau qualified on Wednesday for the quarter-finals of the Hersonissos Challenger tennis tournament (Greece), which offers total prize money of 54,000 euros, after defeating the Greek duo Michalis Sakellaridis/Pavlos Tsitsipas 6-1, 6-2.
Cornea and Martineau, the second seeds in the doubles event, needed only 52 minutes to secure the victory.
Cornea and his partner saved all three break points created by the Greek team.
The Romanian-French pair secured a cheque for 550 euros and 9 ATP doubles points, and their next opponents will be American Christian Langmo and Italian Luca Potenza.
