Piano recitals, jazz performances and a concert featuring a 1727 Stradivarius violin are the highlights of this year's edition of the Stradivarius Music Nights by The Castle Festival, which takes place outdoors at the Corvin Castle from August 12 to 14.
"From August 12 to 14, 2025, Romania's most spectacular medieval castle - the Corvin Castle opens its gates for three magical evenings of classical music and open-air jazz. The 8th edition proposes three memorable nights featuring exceptional artists, in a Festival built on passion, vision and respect for excellence," a Dobondi Art Cultural Association release mentioned.
The festival will kick off on August 12 with an absolute premiere: the first-ever two-piano concert in the festival's history, performed by two of the most acclaimed pianists of the new generation, namely Ioan Dragos Dimitriu and Cadmiel Botac, both of them laureates of prestigious international competitions, with remarkable appearances on European stages.
The festival's second evening will be defined by freedom, sensitivity and improvisation through jazz. Called "Voice for Peace," the recital will be performed by Teodora Brody Enache, an iconic voice of Romanian and international jazz and Martin Melendez, a renowned Cuban cellist, renowned for the originality of his artistic expression.
The final evening, on August 14, will offer a vibrant performance: "8 Seasons Vivaldi & Piazzolla," performed by Rosanne Philippens, a Dutch violinist known for her awards, elegance and virtuosity. She will play the 1727 "Barrere" Stradivarius violin, accompanied by the String Ensemble of Banatul Timisoara Philharmonic - a band with a strong tradition and excellence in musical performance.
Rosanne Philippens plays the 1727 "Barrere" Stradivarius violin thanks to the support of the Elise Mathilde Foundation.
Tickets for the festival can be purchased at entertix.ro.
