Romania's Cretu wins M15 Antalya title

Romanian tennis player Cezar Cretu on Sunday won the M15 Antalya ITF tournament in Turkey, prize money USD 15,000, after defeating Bulgarian Ilia Radulov in the final, 6-2 6-3.

It took Cretu, 24, ranked 378th, an hour and 28 minutes to prevail over Radulov, 20, ranked 616th).

On his way to the title, Cretu, the third seed, defeated Austrian Alexander Wagner in the first round, 7-5 6-3, in the round of 16 he beat Italian Andrea Paolini, 6-3 6-4, in the quarterfinals he defeated Bulgarian Ianaki Milev, 6-4 6-2, and in the semifinals he won against the top seed Max Alcala Gurri of Spain, 7-6 (7/5) 0-6, 6-4.

This was the 12th ITF title in Cretu's career and the first this year.
