Romanian Digitalisation Authority signs cooperation protocols to speed up digitalisation in public administration, private environment

The Romanian Digitalisation Authority (ADR) has signed collaboration protocols with Trans Sped and the Association of Certification Service Providers in order to cooperate in the field of digital transformation, the main objective of these partnerships being to accelerate digitalisation in public administration, but also in the private sector, reads a press release sent by this authority to AGERPRES on Monday.

According to the mentioned press release, Romania has established concrete digital objectives that it must achieve in 2030, as stipulated in the "Path to the Digital Decade" programme.

"We want to operationalise a debate laboratory that will lead us towards sustainable solutions, we can only achieve the objectives assumed through the Digital Decade without wasting time by working at the same table and permanently consulting with experts from the private, associative and academic environments. Through the signed protocols - and this process of cooperation with stakeholders will continue - we redefine and expand the working groups within the CNTD (National Council for Digital Transformation) in order to cover all areas of digital transformation and integrate everything that emerging technologies mean," the president of ADR, Dragos Cristian Vlad, said, as quoted in the press release.

The digital transformation was structured on four broad areas: strengthening digital skills and digital education; secure and sustainable digital infrastructures; digital transformation of enterprises; digitalisation of public services.

"The major themes that we will address together with our partners to configure coherent legislative solutions that meet market requirements, but also comply with European objectives, are Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, interoperability, electronic identity, digital skills and legislation related to the information society. Only together can the state and the private sector accelerate the digitalisation process, and here the experience of the private sector and the associative environment is essential," said Alexandra Chivu, vice president of ADR and coordinator of the CNTD.

The National Council for Digital Transformation is a participatory state-private-academic structure for achieving Romania's digital transformation.
