The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) announced on Wednesday that, after an analysis of the dynamic developments in the current international security context, there is currently no need to raise the terrorist alert level in Romania.
'At present, the level is blue-cautious and will remain so as long as the data held at national level, as well as those resulting from the Service's external partnerships, do not indicate a high probability of a terrorist act being carried out on the territory of Romania. The Romanian Intelligence Service, through the Anti-Terrorist Brigade, acts preventively, using specific methods, in order to fulfil its legal responsibilities to prevent and combat terrorism, in its capacity as the national authority in this area,' the Romanian Intelligence Service pointed out in a press release.
According to the Romanian Intelligence Service, constant cooperation with partners within the National System for Preventing and Combating Terrorism and with international partners ensures full coordination of the measures taken to identify and counter any threats related to terrorism.
