President Nicusor Dan sent a message to women on International Women's Day, in a social media post, in which he wishes them appy Women's Day and thanks them for their contribution to families and communities, according to Agerpres.
"Too often we forget how much we owe you, how strong and courageous you are. Unfortunately, however, today not all women receive flowers and appreciation. My thoughts are especially directed to single mothers, to women victims of domestic violence, to those who have managed to break away from toxic relationships and continue their lives with dignity and determination, to all grandmothers who live in solitude. I admire you for your courage and strength."
He added that Romania still has a lot to do to ensure respect, equal opportunities and protection for every woman, saying that he will continue to firmly support these objectives.
