Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare was involved in a traffic accident in Bucharest on Saturday, an incident that left two people from the other vehicle with minor injuries, judicial sources told AGERPRES.
According to the Traffic Police, the fender-bender occurred at around 11:10 a.m. on Nicolae Balcescu Boulevard.
"On 07.03.2026, at around 11:10, the Traffic Brigade was notified via a 112 call about an accident on Nicolae Balcescu Blvd., at the intersection with Dem. I. Dobrescu Street, Sector 1. The officers who arrived at the scene confirmed the incident, which involved two vehicles. The two passengers in one of the cars sustained minor injuries and requested to be taken to hospital for medical care," the Traffic Brigade said.
Both drivers tested negative for alcohol.
Police are continuing investigations to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the incident.
