Neagu Djuvara, the iconic historian, diplomat and philosopher whose zesty and adventurous life refined his wide-ranging intellect to an ungrudging Weltanschauung, died on Thursday aged 101, sources close to the family confirmed for AGERPRES.
Born August 18, 1916 in Bucharest to aristocratic ancestry, Neagu Djuvara stays an epitome of elegance and sparkling wit that suffused both his writings and conversation.
