The Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Daniel, has turned out to the polls on Sunday afternoon, in order to exercise his right to vote.
He voted in a polling station at the Ienachita Vacarescu Gymnasium in Bucharest.
The Patriarch made no statements before or after expressing his vote in the local elections.
