Those who received disability certificates unjustly or who cheated the system will be removed from state protection and, where the fraud is intentional and clear, the Prosecutor's Office will be notified, the Minister of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity announced on Tuesday.
"Since the application of the new disability criteria, we have started to do what is right for those who need the state to be close to them. Thus, those who received disability certificates unjustly or who have deceived the system so far will be removed from the protection of the state. Where fraud is intentional and clear, we will also notify the Prosecutor's Office, so that those who traffic in disability certificates pay. We are correcting the system so that only those who need it receive the benefits," the minister wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
According to the data presented by him, between November 6 and December 31, 2025, 27,658 people were re-evaluated. In the case of 14,944, the degree of disability was determined to be maintained, and for 3,194, certificates of non-employment were issued. Also, 5,484 obtained a lower degree of disability, and 4,036 a higher degree.
