Several local producers from Iasi County are taking part, from 12 to 15 February, in the 53rd edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair, where they are showcasing a concept dedicated to the local spirit, offering visitors the opportunity to discover experiences that combine history, living tradition and authentic Moldavian flavours.

"At this fair we have tried to bring a little of everything: living history, art and traditions, music, craftsmanship, gastronomy and hospitality. We want every visitor to feel, even if only for a few minutes, the spirit of Iasi, a city of great ideas, great personalities and great moments in Romania's history. We invite all Romanians to come to Iasi and discover the beauty of our city and county," said the President of the Iasi County Council, Costel Alexe, as quoted in a press release issued on Thursday.

According to the cited source, the cultural identity is highlighted through interactive pottery demonstrations offered by the Iasi County Centre for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture, complemented by the sounds of the cobza and the presence of experts from the Municipal Museum Queen Marie, who bring to the fore the city's remarkable historical heritage.

"I am pleased that we have managed to bring together around this stand, around this concept, cultural institutions, companies, organisations and local producers who build Iasi day by day. The fact that we are present at the most important tourism fair in Romania shows that we know how to work in partnership and that we understand how important it is to promote in a unified manner everything that is most valuable to us. Iasi is Romania's cultural capital by vocation, history and creative energy. It is a place where tradition and modernity coexist naturally, where an impressive historical heritage meets academic dynamism and entrepreneurial spirit," the President of the Iasi County Council added.
