As many as 3.78 % of the electors have showed up to the polling stations by 4 pm, according to the data centralized by the Central Election Office (BEC).
The total number of persons who showed up to vote by 4 pm was 692,002 , out of whom 433,760 in the urban area and 258,242 in the rural area.
The number of the Romanian citizens who voted abroad by 4 pm 23,491.
According to BEC, as many as 4.42 % of the electors in Bucharest showed up at the polling stations, namely 79,284 persons.
The counties with an increased attendance there ere Bihor, Dambovita, Caras-Severin, Mehedinti and Dolj.
The counties with a lower attendance were Harghita, Covasna, Satu Mare, Maramures and Mures.
Next data regarding the referendum attendance will be communicated at 8.30 pm for 7 pm.
The referendum on the revision of the Constitution in the sense of redefining the notion of family will take place Saturday and Sunday, between 7am and 9 pm.
