The Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) has received an information note from Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan regarding the consequences of delaying decisions on magistrates' pensions, sources within the court told AGERPRES.
Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan had announced on Wednesday that he would inform the Constitutional Court about the potential impact of postponing such decisions.
The prime minister told a press conference at Victoria Palace that there was a "very high" likelihood Romania would lose funding under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) if the CCR were to delay issuing a ruling.
The prime minister stressed the need for swift clarification of these issues in order for Romania to secure the funds required to complete projects financed under the PNRR by August, noting that access to the funding is conditional on meeting the milestones Romania has committed to fulfil.
