British actor Mark Williams, best known for playing Arthur Weasley, Ron's father, in seven of the eight films of the Harry Potter franchise, is the first confirmed guest at the new Comic Con edition taking place September 12 - 14 at the Bucharest National Arena, the organizers said, adding that the event promises to be a unique experience for all pop culture enthusiasts.
"As we have become accustomed, the audiences will be regaled with three days of storytelling, during which they will be able to explore dozens of stands in the fair area, get in touch with Japanese culture, admire impressive costumes and skills at the cosplay competition, experience video games on top-notch equipment and interact with Hollywood actors from their favorite productions," the organizers' release said.
Apart from his memorable role as Arthur Weasley, Mark Williams has a bunch of successful roles under his belt. His career took off with the BBC comedy The Fast Show. He then managed to land roles in productions such as Stardust, where he shared the screen with Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer, or in Doctor Who, where he played Brian Williams, the father of the doctor's companion Rory.
Mark Williams will meet with the fans at Q&A panels, offer personalized autographs and take photos at Comic Con on Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14.
