Over 180,000 jobs were available in the first year since the launch of iajob.ro, a job platform for job seekers who want to get hired quickly without going through the traditional steps of a recruitment process, such as creating a CV or applying without having direct contact with an employer.
According to eJobs.ro, the big cities remain the most active employers, so most jobs came from employers in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Ploiesti, Pitesti, Oradea, Brasov and Iasi. Because not only the application circuit, but also the recruitment circuit is much simplified and allows direct contact between candidates and recruiters, very small employers from provincial cities have started posting their job openings.
Most of them are looking for candidates for entry level and blue-collar positions (for those who do not have higher education), but also for skilled and unskilled workers.
"We see more and more applicants who urgently need a job or who want to speed up the hiring process, especially given that 2025 has been, so far at least, a year in which the waiting period has increased from the moment of application to the moment when candidates receive an answer from employers. When this whole process spans more than a few months, a natural feeling of frustration often arises. That is why applicants want to have direct and immediate access to employers through the same means they use in their daily communication, in their personal lives, phone or whatsapp", says Bogdan Badea, general manager of eJobs, the largest online recruitment platform in Romania.
Of the total number of job openings posted so far, 54% are for high school graduates, 23% for those who have higher education, 22% for unskilled workers and about 1% to master's graduates or those who have doctoral studies.
Most of the announcements come from employers in retail, HoReCa, tourism, transport - logistics and the food industry.
Regarding the application behaviour, 43.8% of the applications were made by phone, 23.8% by Whatsapp and 31% by email.
"Beyond these data, we notice another interesting element, related to the hours at which they usually apply. Most of the applications are made between 11:00hrs and 13:00hrs, and many of the applicants who work use the lunch break for this purpose. Also related to their application behaviour, we are talking about a category of candidates who are very sensitive to pay and who seek to find out what salary they could earn before applying. However, only 27% of the openings have the salary displayed in their description," says Badea.
At the moment, 22,000 jobs are available on eJobs.ro, the largest recruitment platform in Romania. Another 8,000 jobs are open on iajob.ro.
eJobs is the job platform in Romania that manually checks all openings and companies.
To recruiterss and employers, eJobs offers access to a database of over 5 million resumes, as well as a lot of effective recruitment solutions.
