The U.S. ambassador to Romania, Darryl Nirenberg, attended on Thursday a demonstration of the V-BAT unmanned aerial vehicle system aboard the frigate Regina Maria.
He was joined by the leadership of the Romanian Defense Ministry and security partners.
"The demonstration highlighted how cooperation between the U.S. and Romania strengthens maritime surveillance, reconnaissance and intelligence capabilities, while supporting the development of a regional training and maintenance center, promoting the security and prosperity of both nations," the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest said in a Facebook post.
