The cooperation between Romania and Poland is proof that together we can build more than we can separately, that together we build the strong security of our states, says the Minister of National Defense, Radu Miruta.
He discussed on Wednesday, via videoconference, with his Polish counterpart, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, about the consolidation of the Eastern Flank of the North Atlantic Alliance, "a common priority in a complex regional context", as the Romanian Minister of Defense stated in a post on his Facebook account.
"We discussed: coordinating our cooperation plans within NATO, organizing joint military exercises, modernizing the armed forces, with an emphasis on what we can do better, more efficiently, faster, strengthening cybersecurity capabilities, in a period marked by the growth of hybrid risks and disinformation. Poland represents, in my opinion, a model of strategic ambition, discipline and rigor in terms of defense planning - an example from which I recognize that I have something to learn. At the same time, I am proud to say that the professionals in the Ministry of National Defense are considered by all allies as a benchmark of seriousness and dedication, which obliges us, as political decision-makers, to strengthen the framework in which these people can do their job even better", stated Minister Radu Miruta.
