The tandem of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin was defeated to a pulp by the Hungarian people, former President Traian Basescu said on Monday, commenting on Péter Magyar's victory in Hungary's parliamentary elections, as he also congratulated the political newcomer on the win, Agerpres report.
"Trump will go, America endures! Heavily involved in the campaign to support Viktor Orbán, the Donald Trump - Vladimir Putin tandem was defeated to a pulp by the Hungarian people. On Sunday, Trump and Putin learned that there is something stronger than their deadly nuclear weapons, stronger than their death-dealing bombers, stronger than their death-dealing missiles, stronger than their millions of soldiers ready to die on battlefields, invading foreign countries without knowing why. This 'something stronger' than weapons is called 'democratic vote'," Basescu wrote on Facebook.
According to him, "both Trump and Putin hate democracy".
"They hate Democratic Europe, they hate a United Europe, they hate a rules-abiding Europe, they hate a values-based Europe. Trump and Putin want to break up Europe in order to control and dominate it. On Sunday they learned that this cannot be done! Trump will go, America endures!," was Basescu's message.
