President Nicusor Dan declared on Thursday that he had discussed, one by one, with the leaders of the coalition parties, Ilie Bolojan, Sorin Grindeanu and Dominic Fritz, and there are "nothing to worry us".
"At this moment, there is a commitment that none of the four parties, plus the national minorities, have renounced to be part of the government. (...) On specific issues, we have also mediated between the coalition leaders. This week, we discussed with each of the three leaders, and with Mr. Bolojan and Mr. Fritz and Sorin Grindeanu. We called them one by one at the beginning of the year with all the topics, to see how the year starts and there is none, in terms of public policies, of course there are different points of view, but there are no things that worry us", Nicusor Dan said on Digi 24.
He added that there is a political agreement between the parties in the coalition and that from now on it is about politics, about "people who over time have to pay each other's insurance policies", referring to the members, not the party leaders.
"They have very different audiences. Beyond that, I see that this coalition works, with efforts, it takes time for decisions to be made, but beyond that... ", he said.
Asked if there is a possibility of a minority government, as Ilie Bolojan said, Nicusor Dan replied: "Mr. Bolojan studied mathematics, in mathematics if someone asks you, he said yes, it is possible, of course it is unlikely at this moment. He answered theoretically".
