Decision-makers and leaders of the waste recycling industry, including Minister of the Environment, Water and Forestry Diana Buzoianu, participate today in the first Pria Environment conference of the year.
"At a time when the pressure of European regulations, recycling targets and financial sustainability is greater than ever, Pria Environment 2026 becomes the essential platform for dialogue between authorities, local administrations, sanitation operators, OIREPs (organizations for the implementation of extended producer responsibility), ADIs (inter-community development associations), industry, producers and experts. Romania is at a key juncture: municipalities must implement functional solutions, operators must deliver measurable performance, OIREPs must ensure compliance with the EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) system, and companies must invest smartly in infrastructure and circular economy. All this must be done transparently, efficiently and sustainably, with the citizen at the core of the system," according to organisers.
Expected to attend are Minister of the Environment, Water and Forestry Diana Buzoianu; senior official with the Prime Minister's Chancellery Mihaela Frasineanu; Chairman of the National Regulatory Authority of Community Public Utilities Services (ANRSC) Ionel Tescaru; Chief Commissioner of the National Environmental Guard Andrei Corlan; Managing Director General at RER Ecologic Group Radu Merica; Greenpoint Management CEO Dan Ceausescu; Deputy Chairman of the Romanian Association for Packaging and Environment (ARAM) Alin Visan; Director of the Federation of Intercommunity Development Associations (FADI) Liliana Nichita.
