Identifying concrete solutions to reduce fuel costs in support of the business environment, the IMM Invest programme and the optimisation of the Rabla programme were among the topics discussed on Wednesday by representatives of IMM Romania and the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES, the IMM Romania delegation, led by its president Florin Jianu, held a working meeting with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies at the Romanian Parliament.
"During the discussions, the main challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in Romania were addressed, with a focus on support programmes and current economic measures. Among the topics discussed were identifying concrete solutions to reduce fuel costs in order to support the business environment, the IMM Invest programme and the optimisation of the Rabla programme," the press release reads.
Representatives of IMM Romania highlighted the strategic role of SMEs in the national economy, stressing the need to strengthen the public policy framework and maintain constant institutional dialogue between decision-makers and the business environment.
IMM Romania considers supporting and relaunching the economy a priority in the coming period and will continue its efforts through a series of meetings with representatives of political parties.
"We reiterate the need for predictability and sustainability in public policies and we seek a stable economic framework that provides confidence to entrepreneurs and encourages long-term investment," the organisation's representatives said.
The IMM Romania delegation included: Florin Jianu - president of IMM Romania; Florin Duma - first vice-president; Sebahat Kaya - vice-president; Felix Caprariu - president of IMM Bucharest-Ilfov; Romulus Badea - president of the Employers' Association of Labour Importers; Beniamin Lucescu - president of the Federation of Romanian Transport Operators (FORT); Aurel Popescu - president of Romalimenta; and Ovidiu Gheorghe - representative of the Association of Distribution Companies in Romania.
