Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan declared on Saturday that all structures are on alert following the conflict that broke out in Iran, and for Romanian citizens in countries that have closed their airspace, solutions are being sought for transportation home, "when it will be possible to resume flights."
"I just finished a discussion with Minister (of Foreign Affairs - editor's note) Toiu a few minutes ago. All our structures are on alert, because, as you know, several countries have closed their airspaces, which means that flights to these countries will no longer take place. Also, flights from these countries will be stopped for a period of time and, through our embassies, we will keep in touch with Romanian citizens who are in these countries, trying on the one hand to inform them about what is happening and to find solutions so that, when it will be possible to resume flights, we can ensure their transport home or to the countries where they wish to go," said Bolojan during a press conference held at the Giurgiu County Council.
Asked about the situation of embassy employees, the Prime Minister said that they "are in good order, at their posts" and thanked them for doing their duty.
"The employees of our embassies are in good order, they are at their posts, that is their duty and they must remain in their positions, so as to support our citizens or represent our country in these countries, even in this difficult situation. I thank them for this," said Bolojan.
Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan participated, on Saturday, in the signing of the contract for the "Project for the development of water and wastewater infrastructure in Giurgiu County".
