Speaker of the Deputies Chamber and leader of the Social democratic Party (PSD) Liviu Dragnea stated on Tuesday that the option of suspending from office president Klaus Iohannis "is not out", mentioning that the ruling coalition must discuss if it will further wait or not for the head of state to make a decision regarding the removal from office of National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) head Laura Codruta Kovesi.
Asked about the topic of the president's suspension and about the fact that the time for Klaus Iohannis to have made a decision on Kovesi, Liviu Dragnea said:
"We must discuss this in the coalition - whether we wait, or we don't wait, whether it makes sense, or if it is pointless."
Moreover, asked about the possibility of president Iohannis' suspension is still under discussion, PSD leader said; "It is not out."
Liviu Dragnea also affirmed that he hasn't received any signals from Cotroceni (Presidential Palace, e.n.) on the topic.
"We don't receive any signals from there," he said.
