CNAB continues modernising Henri Coanda Airport by replacing lifts, walkways and escalators

Moving walkways, lifts, escalators and platforms for passengers with reduced mobility at 'Henri Coanda' Airport will be replaced, and an integrated monitoring system for the new installations and modernised equipment will be implemented under a contract worth 24.39 million lei.

'The National Company Bucharest Airports is accelerating the modernisation process of ‘Henri Coanda' Airport and announces the completion of the tender for the replacement of moving walkways, lifts and escalators within the airport. Thus, 19 lifts, 19 escalators, four moving walkways and two platforms for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) will be replaced, and two additional such platforms will be installed. An integrated monitoring system for the new installations and modernised equipment will also be implemented,' the company said in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday.

The replacement and modernisation of the equipment will be carried out in stages over three years, in order to minimise passenger discomfort.

TK Elevator Eastern Europe GmbH Vienna Bucharest Branch as lead bidder, together with the companies TEKA Danes Instal, Mega Moni and Creative Home Construct entered the tender organised by National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB).

The contract is worth 24,390,592 lei.
