The volume of construction works decreased in the first 11 months of 2021, compared to the period January 1 - November 30, 2020, as a gross series by 1.2%, and as a series adjusted to the number of working days and seasonality by 0.9%, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
Thus, the volume of construction works as a gross series decreased, by a total of 1.2%. By structural elements, there were decreases in overhaul repairs (-23.4%) and in maintenance and current repairs (-11.5%). New construction works increased by 6.6%. By construction objects, non-residential buildings and engineering constructions decreased by 11.5% and 8.1%, respectively. Residential buildings increased by 29.6%.
The volume of construction works decreased as a series adjusted to the number of working days and seasonality by 0.9%, a decrease marked for overhaul repair works (-20.7%) and for maintenance and current repairs (-10.5%). New construction works increased by 6.4%. On construction objects, non-residential buildings and engineering constructions decreased by 10.5% and 5.5%, respectively. Residential buildings increased by 23.6%.
According to the INS, in November 2021 compared to October 2021, the volume of construction works increased as a gross series by 16.1%, an increase highlighted as follows: new construction works (+16.7%), maintenance works and current repairs (+14.9%) and for overhaul repair works (+14.5%). On the construction objects, there were increases as follows: non-residential buildings (+20.7%), engineering construction works (+19.9%) and residential buildings (+5.9%).
The volume of construction works increased as a series adjusted to the number of working days and seasonality by 7.9%, an increase highlighted in the current maintenance and repair works (+16.1%), the new construction works (+6.3%) and for overhaul repair works (+4.3%).
By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased for non-residential buildings by 10.2%, for engineering constructions by 9.0% and for residential buildings by 5.0%.
In November 2021, compared to November 2020, the volume of construction works as a gross series increased by a total of 3.9%. By structural elements, increases were registered for new construction works (+8.1%) and for current maintenance and repair works (+3.5%). Overhaul repair works decreased by 20.6%. By construction objects, residential buildings increased by 42.9%. The volume of construction works decreased for non-residential buildings and for engineering constructions by 6.7% and 4.4%, respectively.
As a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased by a total of 2.0%. By structural elements, there were increases in current maintenance and repair works (+7.7%) and in new construction works (+ 6.8%). Overhaul repair works decreased by 21.8%. By construction objects, residential buildings increased by 43.0%. The volume of construction works decreased for non-residential buildings and for engineering constructions by 8.2% and 5.4%, respectively.
