University of Bucharest continues to top Romanian universities in international ranking on graduate employability

The University of Bucharest (UB) remains the top university in Romania in terms of graduate employability outcomes, according to the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026, one of the most prestigious global academic rankings, according to Agerpres.

'For the indicator measuring graduate employability outcomes, the University of Bucharest is ranked among the top 76 universities in Europe, out of a total of 958 institutions included in this year's ranking. Regarding the indicator assessing employer reputation, the University of Bucharest ranks among the top 136 European universities,' reads a press release sent by the University to AGERPRES on Wednesday.

Globally, the University of Bucharest ranks in the 761-770 range, marking a significant improvement compared to the previous edition (801-850) and achieving some of its best results in the last decade.

At the international level, UB ranks 226th for graduate employability outcomes and 400th for employer reputation, strengthening its image as a university that offers relevant studies aligned with current societal needs. In this way, it positions itself among the best higher education institutions in Central and Eastern Europe.

The QS World University Rankings: Europe, now in its third edition, provides a hierarchy of the most important European universities based on 12 performance indicators grouped into four categories: Research and Discovery, Employability and Outcomes, Learning Experience, Global Engagement, and Sustainability.
