The three-month ROBOR index, used to calculate the cost of variable-rate consumer loans in RON, fell on Tuesday to 6.14% per annum, down from 6.17% in the previous session, according to data published by the National Bank of Romania (BNR), Agerpres reports.
At the start of this year, the index was 5.92% per annum.
The six-month ROBOR, used to calculate interest on variable-rate mortgage loans in RON, reached 6.28% per year, down from 6.31% on Monday, while the 12-month ROBOR decreased to 6.48% from 6.51%.
Regarding the consumer loans reference index (IRCC), regulated by Government Emergency Ordinance 19/2019, it stands at 6.06% per year, calculated as the arithmetic average of daily interbank interest rates for transactions in Q2 2025, the highest level recorded so far.
