The three-month ROBOR index, based on which the cost of consumer loans in lei with variable interest is calculated, fell on Monday to 5.98% per year, from 6% per year in the previous meeting, according to data released by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
At the beginning of last year, the index was 5.92% per year, agerpres reports.
The six-month index, used in calculating interest on mortgage loans in lei with variable interest, fell to 6.09% per year, from 6.11%, and the 12-month ROBOR fell to 6.27% from 6.29% as it was on Friday.
Regarding the reference index for consumer loans (IRCC), regulated by GEO 19/2019, it is 5.68% per year, being calculated as the arithmetic average of the daily interest rates of interbank transactions in the third quarter of 2025.
