Salvamont teams rescue 75 people from the mountains in the last 24 hours

The Salvamont teams (mountain rescue teams - editor's note) intervened in 75 cases of people facing difficulties while in the mountains, in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, the National Mountain Rescue Dispatch received 67 calls requesting the emergency intervention of the mountain rescuers.

According to a post on the Facebook page of Salvamont Romania, most of the calls were for the mountain rescuers from Maramures (10), Brasov Municipality (8) and Harghita (7).

"As many as 75 people were saved. Of these, 24 were transported by SAJ, SMURD or Salvamont ambulances to the hospital, and the rest received permission to be transported by their families' cars. 61 calls were also received requesting advice and information about various tourist routes in the mountain area. Salvamont Romania teams urge mountain lovers to be cautious and responsible when carrying out mountain activities," the Salvamont Romania post states.
