Romania's industrial production declined 0.5% in the first 11 months of 2025 year-on-year, seasonally adjusted, according to data published on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The overall decrease happened on decreases in mining and quarrying (-1.1%) and manufacturing (-0.7%). The production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning advanced 1.5%.
Industrial production in November 2025 was down 0.7% on a monthly basis on decreases in production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (-2.5%), mining and quarrying (-0.6%) and manufacturing (-0.4%).
Year-over-year, the November 2025 industrial production seasonally adjusted was down 0.5%. Manufacturing fell by 1%, while the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning and mining and quarrying increased by 1.4% and 0.4%, respectively.
