Romanian cyclist Vlad Dascalu came in second in the Olympic cross-country event of the CIMTB Michelin international mountain biking cup in Petropolis, Brazil, on Sunday, Agerpres reports.
Dascalu (Trek Factory Racing XC) clocked in at 1:29, being overtaken by Chilean Martin Vidaurre Kossmann (Lexware Mountainbike Team), 1:27.47. Rounding up the medal podium was Swiss Thomas Litscher (Kross Orlen Cycling Team), 1:29.16.
Dascalu, 25, ranks 6th in the CIMTB cross-country rankings, being the youngest top 10 player in the world rankings.
