Romanian Georgia Andreea Craciun on Sunday won the singles title in the ITF women's circuit Sozopol Open featuring 15,000 dollars in prize money, as she defeated in the finals Turkey's Ilay Yoruk 6-2, 6-1.
Second seed 19-year old Craciun (557th in the WTA rankings) worked her way to the victory past Bulgarian Ani Vangelova whom she defeated 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 in the first round; Russian Polina Akimova whom she ousted 6-1, 6-4 in the round of 16; next bested fellow Romanian Oana Gavrila 6-2, 6-0 in the quarterfinals; and No. 4 seed, Russian Ana Ukolova, in the semifinals.
This is the sixth futures title Georgia Craciun gets under her belt and the third title she claims this year.
In the doubles competition Romanians Gabriela Duca and Maria Victoria Negoita lost to the top-seed Russian pairing Alina Silich/Anna Ukolova, 6-3, 6-1.
