Romania is looking to further develop its partnerships with Austria to boost economic exchanges and increase industrial production capacity, Minister of Economy Irineu Darau said in a post on Facebook.

"I thank Her Excellency, Mrs. Ulla Krauss-Nussbaumer, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Romania, for her visit to the ministry and for the fruitful dialogue we had on the future of cooperation between our two states. Romania wants to develop and strengthen its partnerships with Austria, which will lead to advantageous economic exchanges for both countries and to an increase in our production capacity. We also discussed the potential of Romanian tourism and the manner in which we can efficiently promote Romania abroad," the Minister wrote on the social network.

According to him, the Destination Management Organisations are a necessary tool in this respect and we need exchanges of experience to make them more efficient.

"The Romanian-Austrian partnership is based on solid foundations and by strengthening them we aim to develop joint projects with a real and sustainable impact on Romania's economy, by creating opportunities for both countries," the minister underscored.
