The National Political Bureau of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) will meet on Monday to decide the timetable for an internal consultation on whether the party should leave the government, PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu informs on Friday.
'On Monday we will have a National Political Bureau meeting and we will decide the timetable,' Grindeanu said on Friday at the Palace of Parliament, after the adoption of the 2026 state budget.
Asked whether he believes it would be appropriate to replace the Prime Minister, the PSD leader replied: 'We will hold that internal consultation, and it will not be me, but all PSD members who will vote - around 5,000 people - who will decide.'
