President Klaus Iohannis congratulates Olaf Scholz for his election as federal chancellor of Germany.
"Congratulations to Olaf Scholz for being elected federal chancellor! I can't wait to start our future cooperation within the European Council and at the bilateral level," Iohannis wrote on Twitter.
On Wednesday, Social Democrat Olaf Scholz was elected federal chancellor of Germany by the Bundestag, ending the 16-year period during which this office was held by Angela Merkel, inform the AFP and DPA.
