President Nicusor Dan announced on Monday that the Presidential Administration's expenses were cut by 30 percent in 2025, exceeding the commitment made in July.
"The Presidential Administration's expenses in 2025 were reduced by 30 percent, that is 30 million lei, more than I committed to in July," the head of state mentioned on his Facebook page.
On 14 July 2025, President Nicusor Dan told a press conference that the Presidential Administration would cut its own budget by 20 percent at the budget revision.
"When the 2025 budget revision comes, the Presidential Administration will propose a 20 percent reduction of its own budget, in order to take part in this collective effort," the head of state said.
He mentioned that this reduction represents approximately 20 million lei.
