The importance of intensifying political dialogue and strengthening bilateral cooperation were the main topics discussed by Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Tuesday, at Victoria Palace, with the Deputies' Chamber Speaker of the Czech Republic's Parliament, Radek Vondracek, attending the Three Seas Initiative Summit in Bucharest, a Government press release sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday informs.
In the context of the anniversary, in 2018, of Romania's Greater Union Centennial and the 100th anniversary since the Czechoslovak state declared its independence, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Prague Spring, the Romanian high-ranking official pointed out the historical and cultural references affinities that underpin the Romanian-Czech relations.
On this occasion, the Czech official reiterated the invitation addressed by Prime Minister Andrej Babis to the Romanian Prime Minister, to participate on 27 October, in Prague, in the ceremonies dedicated to the major events in the country's history,.
Referring to the European agenda, Viorica Dancila showed that, throughout Romania's Presidency of the Council of the EU during the first semester of 2019, Romania's objective will be to underline the importance of unity, solidarity and to increase the convergence level within the EU, with the purpose of overcoming current and future challenges.
