The government will approve on Friday the ordinance that will ensure the predictability of energy and gas prices for one year, starting with April 1, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca, who also stated that, at the same government meeting, they will also discuss the proposals of the ministries regarding the mix of socio-economic measures considered by the Executive, Agerpres reports.
He was asked what is meant by the mix of economic and social measures announced as being developed at the governmental level.
"I can tell you right now that this afternoon we will have a government meeting at which we will approve the ordinance that will ensure the predictability of energy and gas prices for one year, starting with April 1. For the other economic and social measures, we also discussed with the members of the government that each one should identify the necessary measures, so that we can analyze them and approve them," stated Nicolae Ciuca.
On Friday, the Prime Minister participated in the debate organized by the Aspen Institute, under the auspices of Team Romania.
The Minister of Finance, Adrian Caciu, on Wednesday stated, at the briefing at the end of the government meeting, that the Executive is to come up with a mix of measures targeting areas like energy, fuels and food or other products and goods that may be affected or are affected by disruptions in supply chains generated in Europe.
Also on Wednesday, he told Digi 24 private television broadcaster that the mix of measures meant to support the economy and citizens could be approved by the government by April 1, and the first mix would be debated this week.
