Residents in the northern part of Tulcea County received another extreme alert message on Monday evening, around 19:10, against the backdrop of the war launched by Russia in Ukraine.

The message warned of the possibility of objects falling from the airspace, with authorities advising recipients of the RO-ALERT notification to seek shelter in safe locations.

In the absence of a shelter, people are advised to remain indoors, away from windows and exterior walls, with the alert estimated to last 90 minutes.

According to the Delta Emergency Situations Inspectorate, no calls had been recorded to the 112 emergency number so far.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 15 Russian attacks have been recorded near the Romanian-Ukrainian border, according to data provided to AGERPRES by the Ministry of National Defence, with at least ten of them requiring the scrambling of aircraft from the Air Policing Service for monitoring and response.
