The number of employees in Bucharest City was standing at 1,113,924 at the end of October 2025, as against 1,101,562 in October 2024, according to data with the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The average gross pay at the end of October 2025 was RON 11,649 (RON 10,810 in October 2024), and the net one was RON 6,978 (RON 6,573 in October 2024).
On the other hand, at the end of October 2025, there were 6,640 unemployed people registered in Bucharest, down 2,861 from October 2024. The unemployment rate stood at 0.5% (0.8% in October 2024).
