In a statement to AGERPRES on the side-lines of a Bucharest Forum conference, the former head of Italian diplomacy underlined that this settlement process has so far achieved "important results," voicing hopes that further significant progress will be achieved.
"I know that Romania is always ready to co-operate for good results, for success. We have just received the confirmation from the undersecretary of state with the Foreign Ministry and from the prime minister's diplomatic adviser whom I met at the government, and both said that Romania certainly supports the OSCE negotiating process, supports my role as a Special Representative of the OSCE Italian chairmanship, and, frankly, I am very pleased," Frattini said.
He mentioned to the point the fact that Romania will co-operate to implement the agreement on registration numbers in order to allow access of vehicles from the Transnistrian region to international road traffic, and pointed out that he found a very co-operative approach, he can be satisfied with his visit to Romania.
