The number of new passenger car registrations went up by 0.3 per cent in Q3 2018 as compared with the same period of 2017, and the number of registrations of the road freight vehicles recorded a growth of 11.5 percent, according to data centralised by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), published on Tuesday.
In the mentioned period, passenger car registrations recorded an increase in the mopeds, motorcycles, buses and minivans category by 22.7 percent, 15.4 percent respectively, and a drop of 0.1 percent for passenger cars.
As regards new registrations of road freight vehicles there were increases recorded for all categories, the most significant being for the category of trailers and semi-trailers, of 23.5 percent.
As compared to Q2, 2018, the new registrations for passenger cars in Q3 increased by 8.9 percent, while registrations for road freight vehicles dropped by 1.4 percent.
