The Ministerial Order approving the programmes of study for upper secondary education has been published in the Official Journal of Romania, the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) announced on Friday.
According to a Ministry of Education and Research release, the publication of the programmes of study, which will enter into force starting with the 9th grade in the 2026-2027 school year, is followed, as stages in the curriculum reform process, by the drafting of textbooks, teacher training, as well as the completion of national assessment standards for each programme of study.
"The programmes of study associated with each year of study are valid for a period of eight years, starting with the school years: 2026-2027 for the 9th grade, 2027-2028 for the 10th grade, 2028-2029 for the 11th grade and 2029-2030 for the 12th grade," the Order stipulates.
